Social introspection and social reflexivity
Social introspection is an elaborated form of self-analysis through which a person or a collective examines thoughts, emotions, attitudes, and behaviours in relation to others, social norms, and structures of power. Together with social reflexivity, it…
Control over the conscious field
Control over the conscious field is not an entity. It is not a little man, a module, a center, or an “I” that presses buttons. It is a dynamic property of the system: the probability that a given activation pattern occupies global access at a given…
Destiny the horizon we inhabit
Destiny is the horizon we inhabit. It is given and chosen, bounded and open, solitary and shared, revealed and concealed. It is not a fact we discover and then possess. It is a way we keep walking, a mystery we inhabit, a call we answer—or refuse—in the…
What each analysis method can actually answer, the steps it needs to hold, and where it falls apart if you leave them out
Most lists of analysis types are catalogues. They put a descriptive mean next to a SWOT, a regression next to a titration, and call the result comprehensive. The mixing is not harmless: it lets a correlation stand in for a cause, a map for a mechanism,…
Someone and something. Someone before any role. Dignity, conditional respect, and the integration of the self
You are already someone; what you become does not create or replace you. Yet societies treat recognition as a reward for utility rather than a right of personhood, turning conditional respect into a technology that fragments the self—narrowing attention,…
Memory, self, identity, and consciousness. distributed sources, functions, and continuity
Memory does not store identity, and it has no center. The sensory trace, short-term maintenance, working memory, hippocampal explicit memory, and implicit memory in striatum, cerebellum, and amygdala are different sources of the same continuity. The self…
Love, more than a whole
Love succeeds where you become more than a whole beside someone who becomes more than a whole, and where neither is forced, but both grow. Warmth is not proof. It is the climate in which Love can grow. Sexual fusion ceases to be solitude when the scene…
The love that holds and the love that arrives. The distinction between theological love and human love
Theological love and human love are not distinguished by intensity. They are distinguished by structure. Theological love starts from fullness. The source does not become, does not owe the world, does not complete itself through it. It can hold, will,…
Love that never reaches the body stays in the head, and the head, left alone, ends by believing it has lived
I have learned that a person, however imperfect, remains the real thing. Not the idea of them, not the story we tell so we can bear them, not the drawing the world makes so it can judge them. They touch and are touched, they savor and are savored, they…
Fixation, the distributed self, vulnerability, and grandiosity
Fixation is a rigid, hard-to-stop investment of attention, emotion, and behavior. Obsession, compulsion, the overvalued idea, delusion, limerence, and addiction are distinct forms of it, separated by whether they are lived as “not me” or as “this is who…
The distributed self in layers, nodes, axes, symbol, energy, and limit
The self is not a commander in the brain, and it is not everywhere at once. It is a pattern held together across body, memory, language, relationship, and time, dependent on critical nodes but identical with none of them. Beneath that pattern sit…
Exclusive Interview with Patrizio E Tressoldi: Extrasensory perception, presentiment, remote viewing, and a small effect
In this interview, Patrizio Tressoldi gives the sizes he still accepts: remote viewing about 20 percent above chance, ganzfeld nearer 6, forced-choice extrasensory perception under 1. Presentiment he will not size. Mind and matter, he says, are two faces…
The Monetary Unification of Greater Romania, 1918–1921
Greater Romania existed on the map before it existed in a single unit of value. Until the National Bank of Romania leu replaced the crowns, the rubles, and the occupation lei, the country had shared borders and different measures of the same life.…
The SciLit launch in Bucharest, from a seat in the room
I was in the room for the Bucharest launch of SciLit, an Erasmus+ course that places scientific literacy next to human rights. The host was the Romanian Secular-Humanist Association, which is not a neutral consortium. The test is not the opening event.…
God, the human being, the collective, biology, death, and the web of meaning
We never meet God raw. What reaches us has already passed through a nervous system, a language, a family, a church or a refusal of church, a fear of dying, and a need to know what the day is for. That does not prove God is only a need. Love and the world…
GJ 3090 b orbits its red dwarf backwards and leaves theorists without a giant companion to blame
Astronomy & Astrophysics and arXiv report GJ 3090 b on a retrograde orbit (ψ ≈ 136°) around its M dwarf — the first such case for a red-dwarf host — with no detected massive companion to explain the tilt.
Romania’s current-account hole widens as foreign direct investment collapses
BNR data lift the current-account deficit to 16.29 billion euro while FDI collapses to 1.127 billion — external financing cost with a thinner reserve buffer.
Truth keeps the world standing. The lie makes it livable
Truth is the default of communication and the frame of action; without it, cooperation, science, and decisions collapse. Measured untruth — tact, reserve, the white lie, a moderate illusion — is the energy that keeps relations livable and anxiety from…
Construction keeps climbing while Romania’s other growth motors still stall
INS figures show construction up 11.2% in the first seven months even as Romania’s consumption and industry stories stay weak — an investment island priced in cement, not in household demand.
BCR cuts Romania’s 2026 forecast again and now expects a seven-tenths contraction
BCR Research now prices Romania’s 2026 real GDP at a 0.7% contraction — a fresh cut from −0.3% — with weak consumption, EU-funded investment as partial offset, and rating agencies watching the wage-law fight and the 2 October S&P review.
Mercury may have shrunk by up to twenty-three kilometres once rough terrain stops hiding the wrinkles
Nature’s research highlight of 17 September 2026 flagged a Geophysical Research Letters paper by Gaku Nishiyama and colleagues: Mercury’s diameter may have shrunk by around 23 kilometres since formation — more than many earlier tallies — because impact…
Black holes of every size appear to launch jets at the same two percent of Eddington
New work in Nature Astronomy finds that supermassive black holes fire a delayed jet when their feeding rate falls to about two percent of the Eddington limit — the same threshold long seen in much smaller stellar-mass systems. Radio tracking of twenty…
God does not need You
God does not need you. That is why He can hold you without using you. A God who “cannot do without you” no longer holds you: He uses you so that He will not come apart. The same law comes down into the house. The child is not proof. The spouse is not a…
The body the fullness did not need, and still entered
This essay continues The fullness that pours out a world it does not owe to anyone and The particular event without a new act in God. If inverted Actus Purus keeps God as pure act and still admits dated particularity without a new state in the source,…
The particular event without a new act in God
The earlier essay left one mechanism unfinished: the dated particular event. This follow-up states it without giving the first cause a before and after. Intervention and non-intervention are not two states of God. They are two kinds of created series…
The fullness that pours out a world it does not owe to anyone
Actus Purus and the horizontal process stand facing each other as two demands that seem to cancel one another. The first says that God is pure act: without potency, without becoming, without a lack the world could fill. The second says that the first…
Romania’s farmers meet in an unauthorized protest at the Executive’s door
Romania, farmers, protest, Jandarmerie, Piața Victoriei, unauthorized assembly, ANSVSA, institutions, power, agriculture, zootechnics
A thousand accounts is not a thousand citizens: AI influence-for-hire in Malaysia
A commercial platform used Claude to build fake accounts, a synthetic news site, and fabricated dossiers aimed mainly at Malaysian audiences. Anthropic rated the campaign Category Two: assets without evidence of authentic community breakout.…
EPA scraps carbon limits on coal and gas plants: what Monday’s rollback states
On 14 September 2026 the EPA said it will no longer regulate planet-warming pollution from coal and gas plants under Biden-era carbon standards. Officials frame affordability; critics cite cumulative CO₂ and omitted health damages. Both frames are in the…
Romania’s government crisis prices the country’s nerves — and its credit
President Nicușor Dan says Romania cannot wait any longer for a designation. The room that can produce 233 votes does not exist yet, and the cost of waiting is no longer only political: early elections remain unwanted but no longer excluded, while…
When the mind leaves without asking
Unintentional mind wandering is not a moral failure. PsyPost summarizes research in the Journal of Attention Disorders: spontaneous mind wandering predicts distinct aspects of ADHD traits in adults, while deliberate wandering does not. Two routes of…
Short-form video and the mind that cannot come down
Meta executives say science does not back public fear of platforms. Caty Enders, in The Guardian, looks past the lawsuit headlines to a quieter claim: what short-form video may be doing to attention, impulse control, and memory. The map is thin — and not…
Under scrutiny, the nervous system learns differently
Social anxiety is often told as fear of people. The body knows it first as a change in learning: unpleasant outcomes hit harder, and avoidance starts to look like wisdom. A JNeurosci study (Liu & van der Molen, via Medical Xpress) maps how brain regions…
The 2026 National School for Democracy, seen from within
The tenth National School for Democracy, held in Bucharest from August 26 to 29, 2026, brought together experts and participants to explore democracy as something shaped not only by institutions, but by everyday choices.

Extraterrestrials and the human discipline needed before first contact
A reflection on how the first possible sign of extraterrestrial intelligence would test not only science, but humanity’s ability to verify evidence, resist manipulation, manage uncertainty, and remain disciplined before contact.
The layers that hold us together through body, mind, and social change
A layered essay on how bodies, minds, institutions, culture, and unequal pressure shape social stability and change without turning society into a single collective mind.

The mirror doesn’t amplify who you are. It amplifies what you’re looking for
The mirror does not amplify who you are. It amplifies what you are already looking for. It supplies visual input that can engage mirror neurons, the insula, and prefrontal control — or, under prolonged close scrutiny, the amygdala and default-mode…
The price of wheat is not a prediction. It is a map of pressure.
Record harvests invite a simple story of falling prices. The futures curve tells a quieter, more precise story about pressure, storage costs, and the limits of narrative. This is not a forecast. It is an attempt to read what the market is actually saying.
The future is in knowledge and technology. Why do we keep missing It?
Romania spends €55 per capita on business R&D — last in the EU, next to an average of €597. This piece traces the gap beyond the usual "mentality" narrative into corruption, bureaucracy, brain drain, and multinational-driven organizational culture,…

Freedom without roots modernity’s atomization of the Self and the need for mature solidarity
Modernity gave us freedom without roots. The result is an atomized self and a society of lonely competitors. This article examines the deeper costs of this liberation and explores how we can rebuild mature forms of solidarity.

Hindsight bias, adaptive memory, false certainty, and the difficult ethics of judging yesterday with the knowledge of today
Exclusive interview with Nicolae Țibrigan: Romania, platforms, and democratic resilience

Exclusive interview with Nicolae Țibrigan: Disinformation, the body, and the war on reality
Dr. Nicolae Țîbrigan explores disinformation as a psychological and somatic attack that exhausts attention, exploits trauma and identity, and undermines our ability to process reality and maintain civic judgment. He addresses the personal costs of…
The distributed layered Self
The self is neither a little person inside the brain nor a vague everywhere. It is an emergent process, grounded in critical nodes, sustained by distributed interaction, and shaped by body, prediction, memory, language, relationship, culture, sleep, and…
The distributed Self and it’s criticism
A strong model of the self must do two things at once: synthesize what is fragmented and resist the temptation to explain more than it has earned. The distributed mind is a powerful map, but it becomes more credible when it admits its omissions, its…
The body is a distributed mind
The body is not a passive instrument controlled by the brain. It is a distributed system of sensing, processing, prediction, regulation, defense, memory, and identity. The self is not located in one place. It emerges from the integration of body, brain,…
When permission becomes intention
When permission becomes intention
Could God lie to you?
If God is perfect, lying seems both unnecessary and incompatible with moral perfection. But if we remove morality and keep only power, knowledge, purpose, and efficiency, falsehood becomes possible as an instrument. The real question is not simply…
What you put above truth becomes your master
When we put something above truth, we do not merely make a mistake. We reveal the hidden master that governs us when reality becomes costly. Fear, pride, loyalty, comfort, desire, and death anxiety all compete with truth. The work is to know which one…
The future a faith creates
Religions do not only teach beliefs. They organize time. They tell people where salvation is located, whether the present is a trap or a gift, whether the future is restoration or catastrophe, and whether the self is saved alone, through the group, or by…
See the pattern. Name the tradition. Test the claim. Work with the body. Act in reality
Serious self-knowledge does not begin from nowhere, and it does not end in explanation. It must know its traditions, test its claims, include the body, scale action to real capacity, and know when survival itself is the only honest action available.
